Frequently Asked Questions
Before you consider working with me you may have some questions, hopefully, this FAQ may answer some of them. If not, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me for more details.
Where can I find you?
For face-to-face sessions, I work all day Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from a dedicated practice room In Halesowen at Manor House. Please note I am unreachable on Fridays. Manor House is located along a main commuter route between Stourbridge, Dudley and Birmingham. There are regular busses to Stourbridge, Dudley and Birmingham right outside of the main door of the service if you don’t have access to a car. For those of you that do drive, the area offers plenty of local free parking for the duration of your session.
If you are looking for remote therapy, you can find me at the other end of a phone or on your computer screen.
Please note, my practice room is located on the upper floor of the building and can only be reached by stairs which may prevent access for some clients.
How Much Do Sessions Cost?
Before choosing to work together we would go through a few stages. After making initial contact with me I will get back to you and we would:
Arrange to have a brief free phone consultation (roughly 20-30 minutes) so that we can ask each other a few questions and so that you can get a feel for who I am.
From there it is likely we would have a face-to-face or remote assessment session (50 minutes in length) where I can give you information about our working contract and we can establish the frame for us to work together in. This would be charged at £30.
If you felt working with me would be helpful, we would commit to working together on a weekly basis at the same time each week at £50 per session (50 minutes per session).
What are your qualifications?
I have been providing counselling and psychotherapy services since 2019 and have achieved an MSc in Integrative psychotherapy with UKCP accreditation. In addition to this, I have undertaken various training courses to enhance my practise such as working with bereavement, risk management and CBT tools and techniques.
What Is Your Privacy Policy?
Counselling is rooted in the trust that what we talk about is private on confidential. However, there are some ethical, legal, and practical limitations to the level of confidentiality and privacy I can maintain in our work. I consider these as being split into two separate spheres:
