Hello, my name is Alec and it’s a pleasure to meet you.
I offer a warm, compassionate experience to help support you as you explore the difficulties that have brought you to therapy.
What can I help with?
If you are struggling with aspects of your life then counselling may be a helpful way to build insight, perspective and to make choices to move towards your goals. I do not offer advice and I am non-directive in my approach. I believe in the intrinsic strength and wisdom of clients to be able to make meaningful choices when they can see and understand exactly what is happening to them.
I have experience working with several issues such as Abuse, Bereavement, Depression, Identity Insecurity, issues of Self-Worth/Self-Esteem, Trauma and Work issues.
Counselling that meets your needs
I am an integratively trained therapist, which means I consider and work with the issues that have brought you to therapy from several perspectives rather than one static view. This means I can be flexible and creative in meeting your needs and following you where you need to go with your issues.
Professionalism
I am an accredited member of the UCKP who has been supporting a wide and varied group of clients before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. I adhere to the high ethical and professional standards of the UKCP and I am dedicated to providing clients with a non-discriminatory experience in therapy .
